Kortrijk town hall Print
Share:
Kortrijk’s town hall was built in Gothic-Renaissance transition style in 1520. The niches in the façade contain statues of the main Counts of Flanders. Inside the town hall you have the beautiful aldermen’s hall and council chamber featuring impressive stained-glass windows and wall paintings. In the council chamber you can take a look at a series of exceptional topographic maps from 1641, but the real showpieces are the late Gothic sculpted fireplaces from 1527. You can find them in the aldermen's hall and the council chamber.
