De Haan, the most beautiful seaside village... De Haan is belle époque all over the place. Here you hardly find high-rise blocks. The typical Anglo-Norman building style with its red roofs, little balconies, small turrets and timber framed fronts not only determine the looks, but also the atmosphere of this seaside resort. You stroll with pleasure through the winding lanes of the romantic residential area and discover treasures hither and thither. The year 1900 is never far away. The protected residential area of ‘de Concessie’ and the classified tram station are jewels of the 20th century architecture.
The vast polders lend themselves for pleasant walks and bike rides. It is a true joy to be in De Haan. Albert Einstein also had a second home here.
